There’s no logic to the stock selection here - the store seems to have been laid out by an eccentric 1960s obsessive. Shoes, watches and leather jackets fight for room with reconditioned telephones, Sputnik TVs and restored classics of furniture design. However, ignore all the faux-Mod clobber and concentrate on Sam Walker’s own leather jackets, which render four decades of London youth culture down into a few square yards of polished dead cow. Don’t look to the all-male staff for advice while you’re browsing, though - they’ll be too busy discussing which is the best Stones single, while Mick Jagger wails at full blast over the sound system.
