JM Davidson is a hard store to categorise and one only stylish Londoners – especially the ones who would never wear t-shirts with three-word philosophies -- seem to know about. You could see this as being some kind of dark wood floor haven for BCBG (bon chic bon genre) girls and other well-groomed PR chicks who want classic, chic and preppy (for lack of a more updated term) with a whiff of hip and recherché. John and Monique Davidson started selling high quality leather goods, expanded into womenswear and accessories, and are now offering a home accessories collection comprising linens, cushions and gifts. Sells the greatest handbags (leather, suede, tweed, pony hair, totes, evening) and pieces (tweeds, jumpers, A-line skirts, straight leg trousers) that only vaguely reflect seasonal trends. But you’ll find the a few incongruous pieces like taffeta skirts and some original jewellery that still seem entirely appropriate for this smart boutique..
