Although it is technically located in Holland Park, in a peaceful and exclusive residential shopping enclave, its boho trustafarian following is pure post-1990s Notting Hill. Light and airy despite its relatively small size, The Cross packs in all the trendsters, from Sloanes to celebs and hip chicks who will always find something to take home. Find crisp linens, home accessories, cashmere robes, Vanessa Bruno lougewear, covetable Cashmere Workshop pieces, Jemima Khan silks and Toby Mott T-shirts bearing those now ubiquitous baseball tees with such sayings as “I never fancied him anyway” and “I must not chase the boys”. And hip mothers like Jade Jagger buy mini Clements and Ribeiro for their kids – this is a family shop, if your family happens to hip/famous/rich/all of the above. Handbags, accessories and gifts are snatched up the minute new inventory hits the shop, even though prices can be a bit outlandish for the novelty products
