What used to be a well-kept secret of vintage lovers, fashion editors and in-the-know fashion tourists is now getting the recognition it deserves. And when another retro season rolls around, where else to go than this tiny boutique for brilliant costume jewellery and accessories? “Costume Jewellery” sounds tacky, but vintage isn’t the appropriate description either since everything here is new but in the 1920s-1950s mode, made from Swarovski crystals and beads. You’ll find the most covetable necklaces, earrings, bracelets and accessories crammed into this treasure trove (now with another shop across the arcade), from small, affordable earrings (from around £40) to elaborate neck piece and handbags. Now, Angela Hale sells a few of her jewellery pieces through her website and a few other exclusive designer sites, but you’ll only be able to see her bags and other accessories (frames, a small clothing collection) in this store.
