A bright, high-ceilinged space with mosaic tile floors, Amy Chan has a romantic, frescoed ambience. It's the perfect showplace for handbags and hats that say faux-Burberry a go go. A layer of glinting, acrylic tiles gilds every signature Amy Chan bag, making the underlying solid, metallic or plaid fabric take on a modern glimmer. Clutches in copper, silver, and pewter are displayed on a long tree branch; a rhinestone-banded riding helmet hangs with fake fur bucket hats. I liked the disco-ballish, silver-tiled throw pillows so much, I’m scheming about how to squeeze them in with my serious-looking antiques.
