The Wellington boot or "wellie" as they are popularly known, were first introduced by the 1st Duke of Wellington in the early 19th century. Wellie boots are typically made of rubber, are waterproof and are designed to keep the wearer's feet warm and dry. The classic wellie boot is the Hunter original in green.
