The classic moccasin appears again as part of the continuing boho trend. The Minnetonka moccasin is made by the Minnetonka company since 1946. The casual moccasin is inspired by the original moccasins worn by Native Americans and later designed as a casual wear shoe for Americans post WWII. After the war Americans set out on leisurely trips via the highways and byways whlle on vacation. Moccasins were sold in souvenir shops and worn by suburbanites once they returned home. Today the classic moccasin is back on trend, the boots are especially key and look great with skinny jeans.
