Carlife
1-17-1 Aobadai, Nakameguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo
On a sunlit Saturday afternoon, take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the Meguro River in Nakameguro.  There a row of small, charming boutiques have colonized what was once a sleepy residential district.

device.Kyoto
519 Shitahonnojlmae-Cho, Oike-sagaru, Teramachi-Dori, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto, 604-8091

Unlike with other chain stores, the Kyoto Device is the original store, and the Tokyo branch is the offshoot.  Like the Tokyo store, Device offers both rough street wear and avant garde imported designers.

    e.m.box
3-1-13 Shirokane, Minato-ku
Tokyo, 108-0072

Literally a jewel box of a store.  In this tiny shop, glass display cases top tall maple cabinets with row upon row of pull-out drawers, all filled with exquisite, hand-crafted jewelry.

3rd CULTURE Imperial Hotel Plaza
1-1-1 1F Uchisaiwaicho, Ginza, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
The burnished finishes of marble, crystal and gilded wood speak quietly but distinctly like a well-trained butler to the lady of the house: it will do nicely for our kind.
