For shopaholics there can be few better ways of spending an afternoon than wandering along the streets of pretty, stucco covered houses in W11. Try Portland Road for The Cross, packed with an always enviable selection of homeware, clothes and accessories. Head eastwards to Kensington Park Road and you’ll find Paul Smith, and more, then try Westbourne Grove for Scorah Pattullo’s fabulous selection of designer shoes. It is Portobello Road market, though, that gives Notting Hill its edge – a multicultural melting pot selling food, antiques and clothes. For determined treasure-hunters (and those with more style than cash) this weekly street market is a gold mine of one-off accessories, second hand cashmere, and vintage designer clothes.
